Around 500 Nigerians arrive from Libya
ABUJA (AFP) – Around 500 Nigerians arrived in Abuja Sunday from strife-torn Libya, a foreign ministry spokesman said.
"The first batch of 499 arrived at about 1:00 am today. Out of the 499, 17 of them are people standing on death row that have been pardoned by the Libyan government," Damian Agwu told AFP.
He said the evacuation programme would continue.
Some 50,000 Nigerians are to be evacuated from Libya, officials say, as countries across the globe scramble to get their citizens out of the oil-rich North African state where veteran leader Moamer Kadhafi is fighting for survival in the face of a popular revolt

Nigerian woman jailed in the UK for sending son to Nigeria

A London woman who sent her teenage son to their native Nigeria because she disapproved of his lifestyle has been jailed for eight months. Edirin Onogeta-Idogun, 17, from Newham, flew from the UK to Nigeria last July.

His parents, Lydia Erhire and John Idogun were issued with a court order to return the boy, who is believed to be with his father in Lagos.

When they failed to do so, Mrs Erhire was convicted at the Old Bailey of being in contempt of court and sentenced to eight months in prison.

Edirin was born in Nigeria but moved to London with his mother seven years ago.
He had been studying for his GCSEs and had been due to transfer to a college in Hackney to study business and media.

'Significant risk'
Last year he feared he may be taken to Nigeria and forced to marry against his will, his solicitors said, and a Forced Marriage Protection Order was issued on 8 July.

He attended school for the final time on 12 July and it is thought he flew to the African country about four days later.
The High Court ruled Edirin was a resident of England and was entitled to continue to live there.
His removal from England was contrary to the protection order and he was at "significant risk" while in Nigeria, it decided.

New Video from D’Banj ft. Snoop Dogg - Endowed Remix

Genevieve Is Not My Best Friend Neither Is She My Enemy - Omotola Jalade

Dressed in a brown cleavage-revealing fitted top and a pair of blue denim jeans, with absolutely no make-up, the 32-year old mother-of-four is preparing for her child’s birthday. She needs to buy all sorts of stuff to make the birthday colourful, so as to retain her name as the best mother in the world (at least to the celebrant). Yet she was in a mood to chat with us. We’re at her Ikeja GRA office. Face-to-face in a little cubicle, Omosexy – as she is fondly called by both her husband and her fans opened up like someone who had been bottled up for a while. She smiled warmly, chose her words carefully and took time to stress her points, even though her eldest child waits impatiently in the reception area – waiting for us to get the interview over with, so that the birthday shopping can begin. But the minute-counter on the recorder only reads two minutes five seconds; which means the interview is just beginning.

We traced the story of her life, probing without borders, digging deeper than a Julius Berger drill, and almost giving her goose pimples.

TB Joshua Prophesy of Plane Crash that will claim a lot of lives in 2011

The head pastor of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, TB Joshua gives these yearly predictions. He just released his prophetic words for 2011…

TB Joshua said, "I see blood of personalities flowing. Take note of that. I repeat again, personalities should not enter the same plane and say they are flying from one state to another for any reason in this country. There is a danger. This is a plane crash that will claim the lives of many personalities. To avoid this, they should not enter the same plane together"

He claims to have predicted the death of a leader and the October Independence bombings last year.
