Sanusi bags Central Bank Governor of the Year award




Washington – Malam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), on Sunday in Washington received the Central Bank Governor of the Year award.


He received the award alongside many other Central Bank Governors, including those of Mexico, Poland and Egypt at the annual meeting of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).They were all honoured in recognition of what was described as their excellent work in ensuring stability of the monetary policies in their respective countries.

D’Prince joins big boy’s clique of club owners in island

It has been confirmed that Don Jazzy’s younger brother, D’Prince aka Omoba has joined the gang of big boys who own clubs on the island.

The SQ club located at 47, Younis Bashorun Street, off Ajose Adeogun, Victoria island was acquired by D’Prince and an opening ceremony will be held on the 28th of this month at the said venue.

D'BANJ'S NEW HIT SINGLE OLIVER TWIST BANNED IN NIGERIA

News filtered in last week on media,especially print and social network,that the newly released hit single by the multiple award winning singer cum entertainer,Dapo Daniel Oyebanjo,popularly known as D’Banj, was banned by National Broadcasting Commission (NBC).

The song entiled,Oliver Twist has been receiving massive download online and enjoying airplay on local radio stations when report came that the song was banned for containing lewd lyrics.

Lewd lyrics,musically are indecent,obscene,vulgar,dirty and loose.Such songs,we learnt,are banned by the authority to protect children’s sensibility,who might want to listen or watch it.
