The Royal Wedding: William & Kate’s Magical Day

The most watched wedding on the planet EVER!
Prince William wed Catherine Middleton at Westminster Abbey in London.
Kate wore a stunning dress by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. Kate’s dress had long lace sleeves and a sweetheart neckline with a full skirt cinched at the waist.
According to People Magazine online;
The dress was made by hand, using French Chantilly lace and English Cluny lace throughout the bodice, skirt and underskirt. The skirt, made of ivory and white satin gazar, was designed to emulate an opening flower: padded at the hips, it flowed out to the floor. The back of the dress was finished with 58 gazar and organza covered buttons fastened by Rouleau loops.
Kate wore her brunette locks in cascading curls. She topped the look with a ivory silk tulle veil, which was trimmed with hand-embroidered flowers. It was held in place by a Cartier ‘halo’ tiara, lent to Kate by the Queen. She also wore diamond drop earrings by Robinson Pelham, a gift from her parents.
Her Prince, William wore the red tunic of an Irish Guards colonel.

When Seun Adewumi completed his degree programme at the Olabisi Onabanjo University , Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, his dream was to take care of his 62-year-old mother, a retired cleaner of the Judicial Service Commission, Lagos State .

CBN governor, Lamido Sanusi, placed on Time's 100 Most Influential People

SANUSI, LAMIDO

The story of Nigeria's first half-century of Independence is a tale of wasted potential: sub-Saharan Africa's most populous country, home to its biggest oil riches, impoverished by thieving autocrats. A key reason a new Nigeria no longer seems fanciful is Central Bank governor Lamido Sanusi.

Rioters lock in 50 NYSC members, set building on fire

Tsiga

THEY never knew that evil was on the way. All was calm in the neighbourhood, although the news had been broken that rioters were on the rampage in the city.
Suddenly, it got noisy and rowdy outside the building where no fewer than 50 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members huddled together, feeling safe, away from the madness that had seized the city by the throat.
Angry youths protesting the results of the presidential election stormed the Nigerian Christian Corpers Fellowship (NCCF) Secretariat in the heart of Minna, the Niger State capital.
They forcibly locked the Corps members in and set the building on fire.

Nigerian election victory sparks riots: report

TABJ – April 18 – Incumbent Goodluck Jonathan is set to take back Nigeria's presidency in a landslide, prompting riots in the northern cities of Kano and Kaduna, the BBC is reporting.
Jonathan raked in around 22 million votes, easily surpassing the 12 million garnered by former military leader Muhammadu Buhari, who draws the bulk of his support from Nigeria's north.
Jonathan was granted the presidency last year after the death of then-president Umaru Yar'Adua, under whom Jonathan served as vice-president. Jonathan is set to become Nigeria's first elected president from the oil-rich Niger Delta, the BBC said.
